Warner Bros. Pictures is keeping its ties with David Goyer as they plan the future of the DC Extended Universe.
Goyer will work with Justin Rhodes in the script for Green Lantern Corps which as of right now is scheduled for release on 2020. In addition, Goyer is acting as a producer on the film alongside DC Films heads Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.
As conceived by Goyer and Johns, the story of the film will revolve around two incarnations of Green Lantern from the comics, Hal Jordan and John Stewart, and their relationship with the Corps.
David Goyer has a lot of experience working on comic-to-film adaptations, with The Crow: City of Angels, Blade and Ghost Rider among his credits. More prominently he has worked with Christopher Nolan on The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Let’s hope he brings his A game to the project and they get a director with a strong vision who can help us forget that failed first attempt at a Green Lantern movie from 2011.
