New Cloverfield movie added to Paramount’s release slate, God’s Particle removed

These Cloverfield movies certainly like to keep us guessing what’s next.

Remember when 10 Cloverfield Lane dropped out of nothing this past March with no previous reporting of the shoot or any connection to the previous film in the series? Well, to keep with the tradition a few weeks ago was revealed that God’s Particle, a sci-fi space movie being produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot, was actually a new Cloverfield movie in disguise.

But now it comes the announcement that a new Cloverfield related movie has been added to Paramount’s release schedule and will be in theaters on October on October 27, 2107. At the same time, God’s Particle originally set for February 24, has been removed from their slate and we’re left to guessing if both those movies are one and the same, or if it has simply been pushed back for later.

God Particle is being directed by Julius Onah, and is supposed to follow a group of astronauts that uncover a mysterious space threat. The film stars David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl and Chris O’Dowd.

The question remains, if this is the movie that Paramount is releasing next October, and if it isn’t, when will we get to see it?
