The latest poster for ‘Alien: Covenant’ is one gorgeous piece of art

20th Century Fox has just released a new poster for the upcoming Alien: Covenant, and it is absolutely stunning.

Rather than the very common floating heads or Photoshopping stills from the film together that most studios do, this new poster features an almost Giger-esque orgy of Alien creatures and their human (or Engineer) victims, all together in a beautiful sculpted image. Take a look below!

Alien: Covenant (2017)

It’s kind of like the next image in the mural seen in Prometheus. It also brings to mind that powerful image of Ripley in the “Viper’s Pit” in Alien: Resurrection, itself inspired by a Giger painting.

The poster also gives us a better look at the film’s creature, clearly a lot less biomechanical than the creature on the original Alien film, along with the return of the Facehuggers.

I wish someone would turn this gorgeous imagery into a 3D sculpture. That would be an instant buy for me.

Alien: Covenant is coming to theaters on May 19, 2017 directed by Ridley Scott and stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, Noomi Rapace and James Franco. Jed Kurzel is writing the music score.
