The long in development sequel to Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece Blade Runner is finally coming next year, and Warner Bros. Pictures has just released the first trailer for it.
This trailer is simple and yet very effective in replicating the mood of the original film, helped by a voice over of Harrison Ford’s Deckard as we are introduced to the new Blade Runner, Ryan Gosling. Enjoy it below!
Not much is known at this time about the plot of this new film other than is set decades after the original, but if this trailer is anything to go by, we might have something truly special in order.
Blade Runner 2049 is coming to theaters on October 5, 2017 directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival), produced by Ridley Scott with a script by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Michael Green (Logan) and stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto, with Jóhann Jóhannsson writing the score.
